Paul Pham

Paul Pham's background is in distributed, parallel systems and quantum computing. He is supervising students in this spring undergrad research course in machine learning and computer vision. Students will analyze and continue to collect images of growing plants from the hexapod robot in the program ACMLAB (Advanced Computing and Machine Learning with Applications in Biology).

They will use techniques such as photogrammetry, neural radiance fields, and gaussian splatting to reconstruct a 3D model from 2D images and to create an Evergreen plant morphology database for future collaboration with botanists, mycologists, natural historians, and science illustrators.
