This intermediate-to-advanced video editing course builds on foundational production skills, focusing on the craft of storytelling through editing. Using Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Suite, students will refine their ability to shape narrative and documentary projects with precision. Topics include advanced keyframing, color correction and grading, multi-camera editing, sound design, and pacing strategies that enhance emotional and thematic impact. Through hands-on exercises, critiques, and discussions, students will gain the technical expertise and creative insight needed to produce polished, professional-quality work.

This is the second of three courses comprising the Video Editing certificate at Evergreen. It is recommended that certificate courses are taken in sequence.

Students should have some prior experience in video production. Successful completion of Shooting Like an Editor: Introduction to Video Production satisfies this prerequisite.
