Timeline and Transcripts
Hundreds of students graduate each quarter so your degree may be awarded several weeks after your requirements are met. If you need a transcript with your degree on it, submit an official transcript order which will prompt the degree to be awarded as quickly as possible. If you have extenuating circumstances which require confirmation of your degree but do not require a transcript, email registration@evergreen.edu.
If you have any additional questions, call Registration and Records at (360) 867-6180.
Academic Statement
All undergraduate students are required to submit an Academic Statement to graduate. If you were admitted before Fall 2013 or you are a graduate student, you are encouraged, but not required, to submit your Academic Statement.
Preparing for Graduation
There are several things you may need to do before you graduate. Look through our List of Graduation Procedures and check what you may still need to do and by when.
Direct Loan Exit Interviews
You must complete an exit interview if you received Direct Loans while at Evergreen. Review to learn about the exit interview process for the types of loans that you received.
Graduation Fee
To participate in the graduation ceremony and to receive your diploma, your account will be automatically billed a $40 graduation fee, which you can pay online through My Evergreen.
Go to Web Payment, select “Make a Payment” and add the outstanding balance to your basket.
Diplomas
If you participate in the graduation ceremony, you will be presented with a diploma cover as you walk across the stage. Your actual diploma will be mailed before or after the ceremony, depending on when your degree is awarded. To receive your diploma, your degree must be awarded, have no holds on your account and have all outstanding balances paid in full. Fall or Winter graduates may receive their diplomas prior to the ceremony. Spring and Summer graduates will receive their diplomas after the ceremony.
Diplomas are mailed to the address given on the graduation application. If you need proof of graduation before your diploma arrives, you may request a graduation certificate from Registration and Records. You must have no holds on your account to receive a graduation certificate.
Name Changes
Your name on your diploma will appear as it is listed on your Evergreen record. Any changes to your name require an Official Request for Name Change, with documentation provided to Registration and Records.
