Information about how to check out a Chromebook from the Evergreen Library.
The college has purchased more than 300 Chromebook computers to check out to students who may need a computer to better participate in online coursework during Spring quarter.
We will be loaning out HP Chromebook 11 G6 Education Edition Chromebooks:
- 11.6" screen
- 1366x768 resolution
- Built-in webcam and microphone
- WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity
How to check out a Chromebook
Any student registered for Spring quarter may check out a Chromebook, including ILC students and interns. Chromebooks will be checked out for the entire quarter.
Bring your Evergreen ID or another legal form of photo identification to the Evergreen Library in Olympia during one of the following windows:
- No set times are currently scheduled. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work with you to schedule a time and place to check out a Chromebook.
We will do our best to make this process as quick and safe as possible. Please do your best to practice social distancing while on campus.
Alternatives to Chromebook checkout
If you can't pick up a Chromebook or if you prefer to buy your own laptop or Chromebook, you may be able to receive additional financial aid; email email@example.com for instructions.
Some students may be able to receive an Emergency Grant or Loan to make a purchase. These funds would also apply to making a small purchase such as a webcam, Bluetooth keyboard, or headphones to add to an existing device to facilitate remote learning.
