Evergreen media labs have professional level equipment so you can get authentic hands-on experience in animation, photography, audio and video production.
Media Labs and Use
We offer many labs for student academic use, some advanced labs are reserved for specific programs.. Each lab space has it's own requirements for use and staffing needs, review necessary proficiencies and stop by the Multimedia Lab for information on our entry level labs.

Any student can use the lab for academic purposes. Get audio and video production support with access to:
- Audio and video production software on 13 Mac computers
- Adobe Creative Cloud, Ableton Live, Pro Tools and other media software
- MIDI controllers, drawing tablets, iPads and other accessories to use in the lab
Photoland
Photography and photo processing lab
Photoland offers services and support to students, faculty, and the community, regardless of academic enrollment. Access to facilities requires proficiency trainings which are offered regularly throughout the year.
Film Processing and Digital Printing Services
Film processing and digital printing are are available for a fee:
- 35mm & 120mm C-41 color film processing
- Large format digital printing

- Black and white darkroom equipped with 13 stations
- Ability to enlarge 35mm, medium format, and 4x5 negatives
- Auxiliary darkroom with a large format enlarger for printing up to 8x10 negatives
- Self-service black and white film processing area

- Equipped with 13 Mac computer stations
- Each station is equipped with a high-quality reflective and transparent scanner, Wacom tablet, and full Adobe Creative Cloud suite

Audio Mixing Benches, Evans Hall 1520 and 1522
The Audio Mixing Benches are introductory level audio facilities set up for mixing, editing and simple recording.
- Sound mixing, editing, and recording
- 61 Key MIDI keyboard
- Ableton Live, Pro Tools and a variety of audio plugins
Video Edit Suites, Evans Hall 1524, 1526, 1528
The Video Edit Suites are three editing stations set up like the stations in the Multimedia Lab. Each suite has space for 2-3 people to work together.

5.1 Surround Mix Lab, Evans Hall 1328
The 5.1 Mix Lab is a hybrid of a media classroom and a mixing control room, great for mixing and editing, critique, or presentations.

The Sound Effects Studio has a selection of floor surfaces, foley pits and a variety of objects to create sound effects.

The Center for Creative and Applied Media houses Media Engineering, Evergreen's high-definition Television Studio, Audio Lab, Sound Effects Studio, 5.1 Surround Mixing Room and more. Advanced media access and education are provided in a highly-current and technologically fluid environment.
