Media Labs and Use
We offer many labs for student academic use, some advanced labs are reserved for specific programs. Each lab space has it's own requirements for use, staffing needs and necessary proficiencies.
Media production computer lab
Multimedia Lab
Evans Hall 1404
Any student can use the lab for academic purposes. Get audio and video production support with access to:
- Audio and video production software on thirteen Mac computers
- Adobe Creative Cloud, Ableton Live, Pro Tools and other media software
- MIDI controllers, drawing tablets, iPads and other accessories to use in the lab
Photography and photo processing

Evans Hall 1310
Photoland offers services and support to students, faculty, and the community, regardless of academic enrollment. Access to facilities requires proficiency trainings which are offered regularly throughout the year.

Media Loan lends and provides instructional support for the use of audio, video, photography and presentation equipment to students for their academic work.

Advanced media access & education
Center for Creative and Applied Media
Evans Hall 1344
The Center for Creative and Applied Media (CCAM) houses Media Engineering, Evergreen's high-definition Television Studio, Audio Lab, Sound Effects Studio, 5.1 Surround Mixing Room and more. Advanced media access and education are provided in a highly-current and technologically fluid environment.
2D & 3D stopmotion animation
Animation Labs
Evergreen's emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and learning has led students to create unique animated works that are experimental in content and form.
Multitrack recording
Audio Studios
Evergreen has a variety of audio productions facilities. The Audio Mixing Benches are available for any students to use for academic work. The multi-track recording labs are used by specific courses.
Audio Lab Control Room and Studio
Evans Hall 1360
The Audio Lab is our introductory level multitrack recording facility. The studio can be used to record a small song or for voice-overs and sound for video.

Audio Control Room
COM 107 & 212A
The Recital Hall is acoustically designed for music with retractable curtains to control sound reflection and absorption. The Audio Control Room contains an API 1608 console and Mac computer with 16 channel Universal Audio interface.
Performance and Production Studio + Audio Control Room
COM 110 & 111A
The Performance and Production Studio was originally designed as an orchestra hall with retractable acoustic curtains. The Audio Control Room contains an API 1608 console and Mac computer with 16 channel Universal Audio interface.
Multitrack Studio
Proficient use for this studio is provided through the audio classes. These spaces are set up for advanced audio production.

These introductory labs have a variety of equipment. Students gain access to the lab by taking the Into to Electronics in Music course.
