Evergreen Logos

A silhouette of a Western red cedar, Mt. Rainier, the Puget Sound coastline, and the sun capture our special place and identity. Drawn from Evergreen’s history, and updated for digital applications, the mark is our window on the world.

The name has been simplified to purely “Evergreen,” which supports the school’s identity in the most efficient way possible. It says, in one word: enduring, natural, beautiful, free-standing, and sustainable. The shortened name also recognizes how students, faculty, and locals refer to us.

Secondary logos

Guideline

Our secondary logo should be used when space restrictions don’t accommodate the primary logo. However, it should never be used as a preference over the primary logo. Use the tagline version on any outward-facing materials.

Full-name logos

Guideline

Our full name logo should not be your first choice, as the primary brand is the word “Evergreen” alone. However, the full-name logo should be used whenever additional context is needed to differentiate Evergreen from other colleges or universities or brands using the Evergreen name.

Not allowed

Do not alter, redraw, or add any additional words or graphic elements to the logo.

Usage notes for all logos

If you are an official representative of Evergreen and would like a specific version of the logo, consult the graphics team. There are a number of variations prepared to fit your needs; if you don’t already have what you’re looking for, contact Marketing and Communications to see what already exists.

Not allowed

Do not modify the logo in any way without express consent from Evergreen.

Clear space

The logo should always be afforded a predetermined area of breathing space, referred to as clear space. This ensures that the identity maintains its hierarchy and is not overwhelmed by other visual elements. See the diagram below for the appropriate clear space for the logo. The clear space is equal to half the size of the mark.
