Evergreen’s Brand Names
To that end, we have established brand name rules governing appropriate use of the college names and acceptable nicknames.
When describing, referring to, listing or referencing Evergreen, only the following names are authorized:
The primary brand is the word “Evergreen.” Our full-name logo should not be your first choice. Use that name whenever additional context is needed to differentiate Evergreen from other colleges or universities.
Do not use the incorrect names listed below. These names are not authorized or recognized by Evergreen for referring to the college:
The Evergreen State College—Tacoma
For our program in Tacoma, Washington the following names are acceptable:
How to Make an Em Dash
- On a Mac: Type option + shift + hyphen.
- In Windows: Type alt + 0151.
- On an iPhone or iPad: Hold down the hyphen key and choose the last, longest dash.
In the first list item, be sure that Tacoma is offset by an em dash, not one or more hyphens (see aside). Also note that spaces should not be placed around the dash:
