What You'll Learn

The Video Editing Certificate at Evergreen State College equips students with the technical skills and creative insights necessary for professional video editing. Designed for beginners and individuals seeking to refine their editing practices, this program emphasizes fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro, complemented by an introduction to After Effects for motion graphics. Students will explore storytelling, editing theory, sound design, color correction, and motion graphics, with a focus on both narrative and documentary conventions.

Through a hands-on, project-based curriculum, students will develop a series of portfolio-ready projects across various modes, including documentary, narrative, and web-based content. The program prepares graduates for roles in communications, marketing, editing, freelance production, and content creation.
